Daymaker Challenge Day 1- Start at Home by Deb Gillespie and Dahna Weber

On your mark, get set, go!  Now this may just be the most difficult challenge of all.

Day 1- make your own day.  Simple sounding is it not?  BUT being moms, doing for others is priority 1 on the job description and boy are we ever good at it.  As women and as moms.  We so often hear how tired and depleted women feel…constantly running around, managing it all.  And we are!  So today make your own day.  Do something you love just for you.  It can even be something that takes 5 minutes.  I can give specific suggestions- buy a trashy magazine and read it with a cup of tea in the special china used for occassions only, go for a walk, get a pedicure/massage, take a bubble bath, take a nap when the kids do, go see a movie, put on the ipod and listen to your favorite artist, have a coffee or drink with a dear friend, take out the pastels be creative and put your picture on the fridge, make YOUR favorite food for dinner, or this very hard one-look in the mirror and say, “I’m a great mom” over and over again until it doesn’t feel akward.  Pick one that is right for you or make your own.  Have a great day.  By Deb Gillespie and Dahna Weber
