Military Mom Talk Radio welcomes Allessandra Kellerman of Homefront Hugs, December 6th

Homefront Hugs, Allesandra Kellerman, support the military, Military Mom Talk Radio, Sandra Beck, Tina Gonzales, This week on Military Mom Talk Radio, Sandra and Tina welcomed Allessandra Kellerman, founder of Homefront Hugs – an organization dedicated to providing support and comfort to service members, veterans and their families.  A national non-profit organization with over 10,000 active members and 50,000 members in all, Homefront Hugs brings a touch of home to soldiers serving all over the world with programs such as Operation Healing Angel, Homefront Welcome Home Hugs, Homefront Hugs for Kids, and Homefront Hugs Hero Adoption. 

Certainly the holidays are a special time to reach out and support our troops, but Homefront Hugs encourages us all to stay in touch with our military personnel all year long.

Military Mom Talk Radio Welcomes Concordia University on October 11, 2010 at 2pm PST

Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA) will honor the veterans and service members of the community by presenting them with a commemorative gift and a $5,000 scholarship certificate issued in their name. The designee may use the scholarship, confer it to another veteran, or present it to one of their dependents.

Sandra Beck, Military Mom Talk Radio, Glenda Waterman, William Vollano, Toginet, Itunes, Sandra Beck, Tina Gonzalez, Motherhood Incorporated, Concordia College, Homefront Hugs, 19th Special Forces, Chinook Helicopter, Blackhawk Helicopter, Part of the proceeds from the Veterans Day Celebration will help Homefront Hugs, a national organization, providing support to our troops and their families.  www.vetsdaycelebration.com

Military Demonstrations and Displays

The Pentagon has approved the following displays and demonstrations, but be advised that Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn have priority for assets and personnel:

Demonstrations

· 19th Special Forces Parachute Insertion and Gabriel Demonstration
· US Army Strategy Simulation for 20 students at a time
· National Guard Obstacle Course
· Air Station Detroit Water Rescue Demonstration

Static Displays

· Chinook Helicopter (the one like last year)
· Blackhawk Helicopter (the general purpose truck of the air)
· Dolphin Helicopter (the one they will use for the water rescue demonstration
· Military Vehicles (such as troop transports, combat vehicles, heavy transport trucks, etc)

Veterans History Project

Mr. William Vollano will be working with Concordia’s communications students and Professor Glenda Waterman to collect oral histories of combat veterans. Interviews will be conducted on or before November 11 according to the veteran’s schedule.
