Military Mom Talk Radio Presents Lauren Flaim, Salon Owner/ Entrepreneur – July 26th

At 21 years old, Lauren Flaim is an enthusiastic former teen mom and current business owner of the newly opened Salon Amore in Suffolk, VA. With the success of her salon opening only four months ago, Lauren has become an inspiration to teen moms everywhere.

As a 15 year old teen mother, Lauren overcame many emotional, physical and economic challenges to ensure financial independence for herself and her daughter. “Getting through high school was hard as a pregnant student and teenage mother. But regardless of what I was told by my peers, I always knew my passion in life, and I wasn’t going to stop until I got what I wanted. The best part of living in America is that anyone can accomplish their dream as long as they’re willing to work hard enough,” says Flaim.

Lauren Flaim, Salon Amore, Military Mom Talk Radio, Sandra BeckSalon Amore, named for Lauren’s love of hair, officially opened its’ doors for clientele on December 11th, 2009. Due to reputation, the salon has seen steady growth in business since opening the location with only 300 clients in December of 2009. Lauren’s salon is home to 5 stylists (including herself), who were previously unemployed due to the economy or laid-off. The staff, which includes sister Amber as assistant manager, now serve more than 800 individual clientele with new referral based appointments booked every week, demonstrating that despite a challenging economy, Salon Amore is fast becoming a local industry favorite.

Guest Linda Kagan On Military Mom Talk Radio – May 17

In April 2007, prior to embarking on a lengthy business trip to Miami and then Israel, Linda Kagan crafted a document that allowed the sitter taking care of her two children to have the legal authorization to care for them, as well as the proper information to ensure their safety.

This simple parent experience was the beginning of a vision leading to the launch of www.Forms4Travel.com  in 2008 and www.iTravelStix.com  in 2010, each of which are innovative web sites for parents and their children, grandparents, pet owners as well as a wide range of adult and teen sport adventurers and travelers. The TravelStix™ blend today’s digital technology with the basic needs of travelers of every kind, destination and activity by making important travel and medical consent forms accessible and affordable, as well as easy to travel with in a safe and sleek design!

Linda’s background in the field of law set the stage for her current endeavor. In addition to Forms4Travel.com and iTravelStix.com, she presently runs Kagan Law in midtown Manhattan. Over the last 17 years, she has been a corporate lawyer and solo practitioner focusing on many areas of business and corporate law as well as contract litigation, both while with well known law firms, including Jones Day and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, the Law Offices of Gordon Mehler PLLC and her own firm.

Linda resides in Manhattan with her two children Sophie and Alexander. Their names were the inspiration for Solex Enterprises, LLC, the parent company of Forms4Travel.com and iTravelStix.com. Linda juggles an active schedule combining her children’s activities, coaches her son’s basketball team, teaches a class in one of New York City’s wonderful middle schools, Columbia Secondary School and enjoys traveling with her family.
