Military Mom Talk Radio hosted by Sandra Beck and Robin Boyd presents Raquel Thiebes of Life Lessons of a Military Wife
Raquel has been blogging about military life and everything that goes with it since 2007. Whether you want to know it or not, she’ll tell you about it! She was an Army brat growing up, was a soldier herself and married into the military. She won’t tell you her exact age but suffice it to say that she has 40+ years of experience with all things Army.
Her blog is located at Life Lessons of a Military Wife (now in Europe!). She also recently started podcasting and is trying to cover all things military, especially as it pertains to living overseas. Don’t forget she also blogs and podcasts about her travels, so learn from her mistakes and triumphs! She is determined to make your life as a military spouse and an American living overseas that much easier.
She recently PCSed from Germany and is now in Belgium, the land of the French Fry (don’t let anyone tell you it was a French invention).

Military Mom Talk Radio hosted by Sandra Beck and Robin Boyd, and produced by Rick Swanson, welcomes Liz Moore of Go Army Homes to talk about PCS Moves and Military Relocation.
A 1984 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Liz jumped into real estate as her first job out of college. She has worn many hats over the years—including re-sale, new homes, training, corporate relocation, development and sales management.
In 2003, she launched her own real estate brokerage, Liz Moore & Associates. Liz’s vision was a boutique real estate company that was totally client centric; a company that truly reinvented the process; a company that empowered consumers and agents alike with up front information and control. The Liz Moore “No Surprises” program was born. Consumers responded, and now the Liz Moore team enjoys market leadership positions in their Newport News and Williamsburg offices.
In 2006, Liz introduced Property Management, Investor and Commercial Services to her offerings. She has been recognized as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and honored with the Women in Business Achievement Award by Inside Business in Hampton Roads.
Liz organized the Liz Moore Military Team soon after opening her company. This hand-selected group of agents all shares some sort of military connection, and accordingly has a unique understanding of the real estate needs of our service members and their families. The Liz Moore Military Team participates in projects that serve our local military – everything from collecting Girl Scout cookies and holiday cards for our troops serving overseas, to fundraisers for local military charities. Most recently, our Military Team was selected by Go Army Homes as their local representative to service the local army post at Fort Eustis.
Liz serves on the Peninsula Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, as well as the Smart Beginnings Council, a local coalition of business leaders committed to helping disadvantaged children in our community get a good start in school and life.
Liz lives in Williamsburg with her husband, Roger, her son, Grayson, and their Airedale Terrier, Winston.
